Gone with the wind

The past few days I have been falling in and out of love with fictional characters. "Gone with the wind" is such an amazing book. I've never savoured a book so much and read at such a slow pace just so I could drink in every detail. I'm so glad my sister bought the dvd but I'll save that for last.

I'm leaving in 3 weeks.

time & money

Looks like I went all the way down to uk visa application centre for nothing. Took a pretty long time to find the place and in the end, i realised I haven't even received my certificate of acceptance yet. sheesh.

On a brighter note, I've received my credit card!! It's all yellow and golden and it reminds me of a gold bar$$$. I hope my parents don't regret getting me a credit card. =)

Lunching & Dining

Marcus suprised me by cooking lunch. He teamed up with my mom and tricked me into thinking that I would be having just another normal day. Instead, he suprised me by knocking on my door just as I was heading out for some shopping. Picked me up and off we went to his house where he had set up a picnic table

He skipped the appetizer and went straight for the main course. First dish was baked pasta
really really really yummy

second dish was curry banana chicken which tasted like nothing I've ever tasted before

cheesey croutons which tasted like fried mun tou! (it's good!)

and lastly was the lemon meringue which looked too pretty to eat

Had an amazing time eating everything he cooked. He's getting so much better at this..maybe his mom should really send him to shatec. As much as I hate to admit it, he's probably better than me at cooking. (but i'm still definitely better at baking) Thanks for everything peach! I enjoyed it tremendously!

Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY LU LU LU! celebrated her birthday at 'essential brew' which is a really cozy place. It's really nice to meet up with such old friends and talk about nonsense. I miss my Jinnn....I forgot how happy she makes me. I miss Lu and how she is always so pleasant to be around. And I miss miss teng wei qing...she never fails to surprise me with how

You make loving you so easy

This past week has been such fun! I never knew so much fun, love, trust and honestly existed in a relationship. I've never loved so openly...ever. I really feel like I'm in a bubble of love where only him and I exist. He really does so much for me that I don't think anyone will ever match up to it...

For example, today, he actually sat down and listened to me squabble with my mom for an hour over getting a second ear piercing! (the verdict has not yet been reached....i needed at least another hour to convince my mom)

For example, he sat through 'March of the penguins' with me and did not complain even though he thought it sucked. ( I personally thought it sucked too, but I was too proud to say so because it was my choice of movie and I insisted on us watching it and I guaranteed that he wouldn't regret it. Boy was I wrong).

For example, he baked me a coca-cola cake this morning when he woke up so he could give it to me in the afternoon.

There are just way too many examples and I can't be bothered to write them all down. But whatever it is, today was a good day and every day I spend with him is just wonderful. Even if it's just lazing around like big brown bears in the sun, or even if it's just cruising around east coast looking for good food, it's all good.

fergie the fug (part 2)

I know I'm harping on this, but I just came stumbled across some more of fergie's little on-stage incident.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I was in stiches when i saw this picture! Isn't this like her signature butt shake?

Don't feel too sad for fergie for there is a solution!

Fergie the fug

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!?!

I sincerely hope to God that this photo has been photoshopped. If not, fergie is off my 'hot girl' list. I don't care if it's pee, sweat or blood at her crotch....It's just plain gross!

I've got love in my tummy

Marcus baked a chocolate rum & raisin cake. It made a horrible rum & raisin cake because I couldn't taste any rum at all! But but but, it made a damn freaking good chocolate cake. It was so damn good. The outside was really crispy (thought a little pockmarked and bumpy) and the inside was chocolate heaven. The raisins were really sweet and chewy too :)

The crispy outside of the chocolate cake. It was so good....

I finished half! Ok...go ahead, gasp in shock. I can imagine one of my girlfriends telling me "Oh my gawd tinglinn....do you know how many calories that is???!!" as her mouth contorts in absolute horror. Yeah, whatever, I know. I've been on a guilt trip for the past 2 hours.

Ahhh, a life that revolves around food is absolute bliss.

Last night's blissfulness was Japanese food from Waraku
Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Gyoza, yakitori don, yakiniku don, ebi tempura. It doesn't look so appetizing here but it's our favourite place for Jap food!

aww..look how happy he is. Told you food makes everyone happy! .... or maybe it was the soccer game.

Everyone knows, you're living on rock and roll

After much much much madness yesterday, I finally got my grubby paws on a new phone!

O2 xda II mini!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Yeah yeah yeah!!! I think it's so bloody nice. I'm hyperventilating looking at it now.

Thanks to my O2, I'm now more organised and on the ball! Thank you O2! (sounds like one of those commercials huh? Well, it's true!) I've been procrastinating like hell to get all my overseas stuff done. Finally organised everything and dragged my lazy ass down to glamour shots to get my passport photo done. I even went for my dental appointment. But my O2 mini tells me I still have 9 active tasks so I better get busy. Whatever she says, I will obey.

In the car, on my way to glamour shots! I love that place...everyone should go there to take nice passport photos. The photographer asked me whether i wanted to edit my photos and I obviously leaped at the opportunity. I told him to get rid of my HUGE eye bags, shave the excess fat off my face (there was an unsightly amount), etc etc.

The lonely and sad dental clinic. I've gone there my whole life and the decor of the place has not changed a single bit.

Stuff the turkey

Oh my gawd, I'm so stuffed. Had a huge dinner at east coast with Jie, tania and Andy (Jie's friend who's come to visit). I was gonna take pictures of us and the stuff we ate (I charged my camera and everything) but unfortunately, my hands were too smeared with yummy black pepper crab sauce to hold my camera.

Long beach seafood serves really good sambal kangkong and black pepper crab. They claim to be the pioneers of black pepper crab in singapore so they damn well make sure it's good. We had black pepper crab. chilli crab, fried mun tou, crispy sweet baby squid, cereal prawns and mee goreng. After which we headed down to Geylang for some frog leg porridge, teh-o and orgasmic you tiao and dao hui. (Amy loves this place too).

We did not go to Geylang for just food. We went there to satisfy Andy's curiosity. Curious..hmm...what else can a 20 year old guy have on his mind when he goes geylang? Yeah. prostitutes. But it was all very innocent. Anyway, the interesting part was when we were walking along one stretch of road where there were about 5 prostitutes lined up. The one nearest to us picked up her phone and almost immediately ran acorss the road and the rest followed. They dashed into this mama shop's and went through this back door. We realised the police had come.

I think the prostitutes have some kinda deal with the mama shop owners. Like since they bring them business and increase the sale of condoms, the owners provide them santuary when the police come.

relativity

"You never really know how important something is until you've lost it once.

You never really feel accomplished until you have slogged day and night for it.

You never really feel happiness until you have felt extreme sadness.

You never really know peace until there is war.

You never really appreciate time until there is a lack of it.

Everything in this world is relative. That is why I believe everything that takes a wrong turn is a blessing in disguise. It merely teaches us the opposite, which is something beautiful"

Got this off an ex-classmate's blog. Extremely well said.

shred into ribbons

Today while we in the car, amy proudly whipped out some presents for me - paper folded in the shape of a heart, his name tag (???) and a ribbon. So the conversation we had was

"eh...a ribbon. did you make it youself?"
"yarh...had to fold a whole bunch for NDP"
"oh...(disappointment). so this was a leftover piece?"
"no la!! the other ribbons I made were all one colour! this one I used TWOOOO colours! nice right?"

haha, found it so adorable. To him, beautifying something is just slapping on another colour. To him, 2 colours must be better than one. Nevermind that the colours don't match. haha...my silly muchacho.

bitch you

I'm a very direct, practical and straightforward person (at times). Some of you misconstrue that to be bitchy. well, I am not.
