and the collision of your kiss

Go on and taste it, you don't wanna waste it.

Eve and adam had a garden everything was great
Till one day a boy says pardon miss my name is snake
See that apple over yonder if you’ll take a bite
You and adam both are bound to have some fun tonight

~ Nina Simone

I think this is a really cute and funny way of telling the story of Eve and Adam in the garden of eden.

Oatmeal prawns

The day started out not very promising but somehow morphed into something surprisingly pleasant and interesting.

I'm not afraid to admit that this morning/afternoon, i was suffering from really bad PMS. My mood was swinging even more than...um...a monkey? The heat made me irritable, ballads made me sad, noise made me angry. Even the lizard on the wall triggered off some anger within me. I didn't stay that way for too long though. Amy has this habit of saying the silliest things when I'm upset to make me laugh.

Anyway, i MUST rave to all you guys about the food at the nosignboard restaurant. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. The seafood there is amazing, especially the oatmeal prawns. yum yum yum. I would love to go into great detail, but I had just a little too much to eat so talking about them right now would be like inducing vomit.

When i was there chomping away (mee goreng, black pepper crab, oatmeal prawns and sambal kangkong), the police showed up across the street. Amy said that they were doing a raid on the prostitutes. I saw them earlier on in the night and i was really scared and curious at the same time. I have never seen so many prostitutes line the streets of Geylang before! There was an area for indonesians, thais, chinese, gays and transvestites. I kept imagining them hitting the streets every night wearing the same sad pink dress, with their faces smeared with makeup and skin soaked in cheap perfume. That thought made me really sad.

They come in all sizes.

I feel as though i've been neglecting this blog. So sorry for my sudden lapse in interest in blogging. But I'm back with full force now! READERS COME BACK!! heh. I'll try my best to update this place regularly.

Quite alot has happened in the past week. Some good, some bad. I enjoyed the good times and got through the bad.

Some happy moments:

after a talk with my sister, it has suddenly dawned upon me that i have tons of stuff to do before starting school. I've spent the last hour researching and it all seems pretty overwhelming. The application for visa alone is really troublesome....and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Mah fan si le, but it's worth it.

Update on my movie binge. I've watched Mulholland drive, Donnie darko and the triplets of belleville. and I thought Mulholland drive was a really good movie. I love the whole concept of

sometimes, things are not what they seem

also, i'm really interested to watch the other movies directed by david lynch.

I think my driving's getting slightly better though it's still a little wobbly. Can't drive without a licensed driver sitting beside me yet. But that's alright, I'm not an eager beaver. I prefer it when my sister to sit next to me in the car rather than my mom. My mom shouts and screams at me, whereas my sister shouts and screams at me but in a softer, funnier way.

Smooth sailing

I am now the proud owner of a driving license!

I don't think anyone had any idea how badly I wanted my license...and now i have it! YEAHHHH!!!

mwahahhaa.

My tester was really kind to be honest. hee hee. He said i striked the curb (although i didn't feel anything) but he said he wouldn't count it. I almost knocked down a pole and he didn't count it either! what a kind old man. I think the meanest thing he said to me during the whole test was "mmph...not very good..." So much nicer than that asshole that tested me the first time.

I'm gonna have so much fun with my license! For starters, I'm gonna drive my family to dinner. Then for a movie. Then back home =)

Just had a really great and satisfying day wth Amy. Ah, life is good.

Yesterday was great too. We had dinner at this cozy little french cafe at Chipbee gardens. The conversation was great and we sat and talked till we were the only ones left in the place. =) It was one of the few times I actually felt the need to pay service charge cos the waiters were so nice and obliging.

It has been awhile since i blogged. My life is pretty much the same. The only difference is that I've been gorging myself on movies my sister brought home from the UK. So far I've watched,

- requiem for a dream
- Amores Perros
- The virgin Suicides
- madagascar (at the bloody nice great world city cinema)

ok, i can't really remember the tittles of the other movies cos my brother is rushing me and that is making me flustered. urgh. ok.

whatever it is, requiem for a dream is really really really good. But it was bloody creepy and haunting. I'm still freaked out.

lunch. Blog later.
